Hardware : Tablets & QR Code Scanners

Welcome! Here is where you can find recommended hardware, and the links will direct you to where you can purchase them. Be sure to look at what we have tested.

While our competitors offer hardware, they charge $200.00 - $300.00 per month, that acquates to $2400.00 - $3600.00 per year. Our platform is affordably priced at $900.00 per year. When you switch platforms you instantly save $1500.00 - $2700.00 yearly. With those kind of savings you can find hardware that will last a few years and continue saving by using NeXt.

NeXt (Infinite Solutions) is budgeted for software development and support only, so NeXt (Infinite Solutions) has choosen not to provide hardware for businesses using our software. We can recommend hardware and help with decisions, but that is the best we can do at this time.

Note: We do not recommend wireless or bluetooth devices.

Tablets

Existing Windows POS

Windows 7 SP1 or newer PC : Perhaps your POS

Currently our software works with Windows .Net Framework, which is only supported on Windows 7 SP1, 8, 8.1, and 10. Therefore any Windows PC or Tablet will work. Our software does not work with Windows RT.

Our software is Windows based because unlike Android and IOS tablets, Windows does a great job at multi-tasking. This is a very important feature when running a business and minimizing hardware on valuable counter space.

If you already have a Windows machine for your POS, our software works well on the same machine. Our software is easy to navigate to and close. And it still works behind the scenes while your POS software is still working.

Here is some hardware that our customer base is currently using:

While we would love to offer support for all products, we have limited our support to only name brand products like Zebra, Motorola, Ingenico, Verifone, etc. We have not tested this device, but based solely on it's white paper, this device should work with our system. To be sure contact their support team. For this device, a device you might already own, or another device you found, the device should have the following capabilities:

  • QR CODE Read
  • Read all characters listed on the keyboard
  • Be able to send a carriage return (Enter) at the end of the scan
Features you might want out of your QR Code scanner
  • Change the rate in which it scans and looks for a QR Code, for instance scan every 1 second or 2 seconds

Kercan 130T

Amazon : ($32.99)

This device has only two drawbacks, but worked great for our testing.
  • There is no cradle for the QR Code scanner to sit in and automatically scan
  • It does switch from a push button scan to an autoscan.
    • the autoscan is always scanning
    • limit Autoscanning to every 2 seconds
    • because the device is always scanning it will die faster
If you are okay with push a button to scan like taking inventory or sometimes at a cash register, this device works great.
